Name: Jeff Asherwood Email: jeffasherwood@icloud.com Phone: 082 978 1098 August is usually the windy month, but we have had some perfect periods for flyfishers with little wind and calmer seas and north of Vidal we had a good day with four species caught including shad, blacktail and stone bream. There have been shad at Vidal and also the shad have remained active in the Mapelane area. Apart from the wind the big seas we get regularly on the North Coast tends to be discouraging for flyfishers but it is always worth bring a fly rod if you are visiting up here. As I mentioned last month the lake mouth is now closed but the lake is full so it could open again if we have good early summer rains I have a tackle shop in town if you need supplies and you can also get me at Fat Bike Fishing at https://www.facebook.com/fatbikefishing/.
Saltwater tackle.
