It was with great sadness that FOSAF learnt that Gerrie van der Merwe of Lunsklip Fisheries passed away this morning. Gerrie was a pioneer and a leader in the trout industry, the founder and chairman of Trout SA, a mentor to many in freshwater fish farming and a leader in South African aquaculture. A man of high intelligence and absolute integrity but also a man of great humility. A true and wise gentleman in every sense of the word. He was a great supporter of FOSAF. Our condolences go to the van der Merwe family
